Note: The below document is only relevant for using Poised on Mac. For Windows, you don't need to take any steps to set up Poised for a meeting tool. It should automatically ask to start during a call.

In order to successfully use Poised during your meetings, you need to make sure the speaker setting in the meetings tool you use is set to “Poised Speaker."

This ensures that Poised doesn’t pick up on other participants speaking in the meeting. The below steps guide you on how to change the speaker settings in popular meeting tools. The Poised app needs to be open when taking these steps.

Zoom

Open Zoom application. Go to Settings > Audio and make sure the speaker is set to “Poised Speaker”.

In case you need to change your speaker at any time in your future, do not change it in Zoom and follow the steps here.

Google Meet

Go to meet.google.com , click on the Settings icon in the top right and make sure the speaker is set to “Poised Speaker”.

In case you need to change your speaker at any time in your future, do not change it directly in Google Meet and follow the steps here.

Microsoft Teams

Open the Teams app or go to https://teams.live.com/. Click "Meet now" and start a meeting. Click on the Settings icon on the next screen to change your speaker to "Poised Speaker".

In case you need to change your speaker at any time in your future, do not change it directly in Teams and follow the steps here.
