Note: The below document is only relevant for using Poised on MacOS Sonoma (September 26, 2023) and older versions. Windows and newer versions of Mac are not affected.
To ensure that Poised starts recording meetings automatically, make sure your calendar events and meetings meet the following requirements.
Calendar event
Two or more people are added to the meeting event.
The meeting event has been accepted by at least one participant that is not the meeting owner.
There’s a video link in the calendar event to any meeting app that has Poised Speaker configured.
NB: New/Updated calendar events can take a few minutes to get reflected in Poised. If this occurs, try refreshing the Poised app by pressing command + R.
During the meeting
The calendar event needs to start within 10 minutes from the planned start time.
You can choose to “join” or “skip” a Poised meeting recording in the Poised element that appears on the screen once a meeting is about to start. If no action is taken,Poised will start recording within 10 seconds of the meeting start time.
For audio to be recorded correctly, the mic needs to be used by the meeting tool linked to in the calendar meeting. The meeting tool will also have to send audio packets to the poised speaker.
