Please note that dictation is currently available exclusively for Mac OS users. We do not support Windows or Linux at this time.
For Mac users, the first step is to ensure your permissions are correctly set up. The specific steps may vary slightly depending on your OS version, but here are the general steps to follow:
Check Permissions
You need to enable both Accessibility and Microphone permissions for the Poised desktop app.
Go to System Preferences or System Settings.
Navigate to Privacy & Security.
If it looks like this, you will be able to select Microphone and Accessibility directly.
If you are on an older Mac version you may need to first select Privacy from the top navigation:
3. Select Microphone and ensure the Poised desktop app is checked.
4. Next, select Accessibility and confirm that the Poised desktop app is also checked.
Restart Poised
After making these changes, it’s important to restart the Poised application.
Quit Poised from the top menu bar (located next to the date, time, battery, and Wi-Fi icons).
2. Reopen Poised by using Spotlight Search (press Command + Space) and search for "Poised."
If you encounter any problems after following these steps, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team. Thank you for using Poised, and happy dictating!
